The leading English football team Southampton have named the cryptocurrency education platform learncrypto.com as the new sponsor of the training kit.
From Sunday’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the learncrypto.com brand will feature on the Saints’ first and B-team training kit throughout the 2021/22 season.
Financial terms of the deal were not made public.
A non-profit website, learncrypto.com is partially funded by Southampton’s main sponsor, Sportsbet.io, and allows users to access courses offering information on blockchain and crypto.
Roman German, product manager at Yolo Group, which also funds the website, said the company would work with Southampton to “get the word out about the positive impact crypto can have.”
