UNM Championship Golf Course hosts inaugural tournament: UNM Newsroom

The UNM championship golf course, regularly ranked among the best college courses in the country, is hosting its inaugural Foundation tournament on Monday, October 4. The funds raised through this event will support the Foundation’s mission to maintain and improve the course.

“We are thrilled to welcome those who support our course, as well as welcoming new golfers to the UNM Championship Course and raising awareness of the course’s capital needs,” said Adam Roybal, Course General Manager UNM golf course.

The tournament will be a 4 person scramble with various prizes awarded across the field. In addition to the fun, players and guests will also have the opportunity to win raffle prizes during the event – raffle tickets cost $ 5 each, or five for $ 20, and can be purchased at the championship golf course. Registration for the October 4 event begins at 6:30 a.m., breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. and the tournament kicks off with a gunshot at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $ 500 per team of 4 and includes breakfast and lunch, plus all greens, cart and course fees.

The event is limited to 24 teams, so golfers are encouraged to register early. The registration form and brochure can be downloaded here.

The UNM Golf Course Fund was established in 1990 under the umbrella of the UNM Foundation to support special projects at the UNM Championship golf course.
